The Chargers will get a much needed blocker back, but they could be without a back they need as well.

According to Michael Gehlken of U-T San Diego, running back Ryan Mathews has not been cleared to resume practicing after suffering a concussion last week against the Raiders.

The better news is that left tackle King Dunlap has been cleared after his concussion, and returned to practice today, although the Chargers line remains in flux.

Left guard Chad Rinehart (foot) isn’t practicing today, and now right tackle D.J. Fluker is not practicing either, though there was no explanation for his absence.

The Chargers have struggled to keep a healthy line in front of Philip Rivers this season, spoiling what has been, on the whole, a solid bounce-back season for him.
