Vick officially questionable, unofficially highly unlikely to play

Eagles coach Chip Kelly has learned a thing or two about the NFL game.  Specifically, creative use of the injury report can provide a strategic advantage.

And Kelly apparently is taking full advantage of that with quarterback Mike Vick.

Vick, the Philly starter, has a hamstring injury.  He’s officially listed as questionable.  Per a league source, he’s highly unlikely to play.

So why list him as questionable?  To force the Buccaneers to prepare for both Vick and Nick Foles.

We’re not saying Vick definitely won’t play.  Earlier this week, multiple reports emerged that he’d miss the game.  We’ve been told that he could miss two games.

Regardless, his chance of playing is definitely lower than the 50-50 coin flip that the term “questionable” implies.

To further muddy the waters, Chipmunk himself has been taking most of the first team snaps at the position in practice.

Here we go again! Michael Vick selfishly plays at 75% because he is afraid to lose his job. This never ends well for the Eagles, but I love it. Nothing more fun to watch than a defense destroying an immobile Michael Vick.

Vick has been a questionable QB since he was a rookie.

The only thing that’s officially questionable is how much longer we have to watch him get pummeled and miss half of yet another season

O.K. Coach, so I have to stick my tongue out when I throw the ball. Got ya.

    Just list him as doubtful.

    It’s more sensible and concise!!

As soon as the training staff heard Vick could possibly catch another virus, by playing Tampa this week, they decided to list him as questionable

We’ll just see if he gets on the plane tomorrow.

Doesn’t really matter. Dallas has the division this season.

    So you’re saying there’s a chance!

Are you hurt or not? Do you want to disrupt the gameplan or not? Why jump into and muddle it up if you are gonna be out two games, let Voles try, nothing wrong with resting up for a week if the injuries are real!

‘Getchur antibiotics ready’ (with apologies to T.O.).

So you say that Vick’s hurt? Wow, didn’t see that one coming at all.
