Vick officially questionable, unofficially highly unlikely to play

Eagles

Eagles coach Chip Kelly has learned a thing or two about the NFL game. Specifically, creative use of the injury report can provide a strategic advantage.

And Kelly apparently is taking full advantage of that with quarterback Mike Vick.

Vick, the Philly starter, has a hamstring injury. He’s officially listed as questionable. Per a league source, he’s highly unlikely to play.

So why list him as questionable? To force the Buccaneers to prepare for both Vick and Nick Foles.

We’re not saying Vick definitely won’t play. Earlier this week, multiple reports emerged that he’d miss the game. We’ve been told that he could miss two games.

Regardless, his chance of playing is definitely lower than the 50-50 coin flip that the term “questionable” implies.
