Lynch’s hip is injured, unless it isn’t

The official injury report listed on Friday shows that Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is questionable.  The official reason is that it’s not injury related.

Which means that Lynch has a 50-50 chance of playing.  For a reason unrelated to an injury.

Making the situation even more confusing is that Lynch was held out of practice on Friday, officially due to a hip injury.  But coach Pete Carroll downplayed the condition, calling the injury minor.

But Lynch is still questionable.  And the situation is still odd.  And the Seahawks will likely still beat the Titans even if he doesn’t play.

(Not that this would help your fantasy team very much.)

Meanwhile, the Seahawks have commemorated the return of center Max Unger from injury by cutting center Jason Spitz.  They’ve also elevated receiver Bryan Walters from the practice squad.

  1. Seems like the Kellen Winslow Jr. situation.

    He’s about to be suspended?

No injury, just not likely to play. They cant say he’s “out” because that violates his privacy right, until it becomes official.

    Just sayin.

  2. Pete Carroll said Lynch will be playing on everything I have watched. Anyone that following the Hawks knows that Lynch usually gets a few practices (normally Weds) off every week to keep him fresh.

Bryan Walters, can’t say that he is better than Stephen Williams. Look forward to getting Harvin on the roster in a couple of weeks.

    Seattle is vastly overrated.

    That would actually be Denver.

At home they’re as tough as there is. Away they’re very beatable.

  5. Russell Wilson only makes plays when the play breaks down, which is every play because he can’t properly execute an offense. When he does, the passes are not on target. It is not a sustainable way to run an offense. He will not be there starter in a couple years when fans grow tired of being homers that stick up for “their guy”.

  6. People are acting like its out of the question to imply that he could’ve gotten popped for something. He’s had a long history of Marijuana and DUI’s. Something seems fishy with this story

Right. Because he didn’t ‘execute’ the offense at all last year. Or in Carolina. Or against Jacksonville.

    Niner fan ignorance/jealousy.

Lol. 12 points on Carolina, great execution. Watch out for JAX, they’re a force to be reckoned with. He does make plays and the team around him is good, but I have my doubts about him. When they get to the playoffs, some team with good corners is gonna man up their average recievers, while the rest of the defense bottles him up in the backfield, thus negating his ability to make plays with his legs.

  10. For those of you that don’t follow…….Lynch has been listed on injury report since he was drafted by Buffalo, it’s called maintenance days…..he’ll be full tilt Sunday

  11. PFT has too many fans talking ignorant nonsense. Lynch will play, Seattle’s offensive line will be much better with Unger out there.

Fitzpatrick needs to get ready because Irvin/Clem both started getting pressure last game and they are nasty at home.

  12. I like Wilson, he seems classy, does not get flustered and showed great deep touch last year.
He seems to be able to run for first downs at will late in games which I do think is hiding that he like Kap is having accuracy issues this year. Overall he appears to be a grinder and will probably be good for a while. As a 49er fan though he is the only one I like
