Lynch’s hip is injured, unless it isn’t

Lynch

The official injury report listed on Friday shows that Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is questionable. The official reason is that it’s not injury related.

Which means that Lynch has a 50-50 chance of playing. For a reason unrelated to an injury.

Making the situation even more confusing is that Lynch was held out of practice on Friday, officially due to a hip injury. But coach Pete Carroll downplayed the condition, calling the injury minor.

But Lynch is still questionable. And the situation is still odd. And the Seahawks will likely still beat the Titans even if he doesn’t play.

(Not that this would help your fantasy team very much.)

Meanwhile, the Seahawks have commemorated the return of center Max Unger from injury by cutting center Jason Spitz. They’ve also elevated receiver Bryan Walters from the practice squad.
