The Chargers appear likely to have their primary ball carrier for Monday night’s game against Indianapolis.

Running back Ryan Mathews (concussion) is probable for Week Six, Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune reported on Saturday.

“I’m looking forward to seeing him out there,” Chargers coach Mike McCoy said Saturday, according to Gehlken.

Mathews suffered the injury in the Chargers’ 27-17 loss at Oakland on Sunday night.

Mathews, 26, has rushed for 234 yards on 67 carries in 2013, with a long rush of 20 yards.
