DeMarco Murray injures knee, questionable to return

AP

The Cowboys showed some balance on their opening drive, but if they’re going to follow it up, they may have to do it without their starting running back.

DeMarco Murray just went to the locker with a sprained left knee, and his return has been termed questionable.

That leaves the Cowboys extremely thin in the backfield, with Lance Dunbar on the inactive list because of a hamstring issue.

The Cowboys have rookie Joseph Randle and Phillip Tanner if Murray can’t return.
