The Eagles are hanging onto a 21-17 lead over the Bucs, after a long touchdown pass from backup quarterback Nick Foles to Riley Cooper.

But the guy who protects either quarterback left the field prior to it.

Eagles left tackle Jason Peters was just taken to the locker room for X-rays, after an right shoulder injury. There was no immediate word on his return.

He was replaced by Allen Barbre, who was out there when Foles hit Cooper for a 47-yard score.

Both teams are playing defense as if they’re afraid of contracting MRSA, which means this one is far from over.
