Peyton throws pick-six, Jaguars keeping it close in Denver

Wes Welker, John Cyprien AP

The Jaguars must not have received the memo that they have no chance against the Broncos.

Late in the first half of a surprisingly competitive game, Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning threw a pass over the middle that Jaguars linebacker Paul Posluszny leapt into the air and intercepted. Posluszny then raced 59 yards to the end zone for a touchdown that narrowed the score to 14-12. Jacksonville went for two in an attempt to tie the score before halftime, but the conversion attempt was no good.

The Broncos do look like the better team, and the Jaguars’ offense isn’t getting much of anything going. But this is a close, competitive game, despite the all-time record point spread of 28.

Denver fans booed the Broncos as they jogged into the locker room at halftime. This was not what they expected to see.

    So awesome! Go Jags!

Denver, save those boos for when Manning chokes in the playoffs again.

I think the Broncos will win. However I’ll laugh if bookies and Vegas has to pay a ransom if that point spread isn’t met.

    Maybe the boo-birds placed bets…

    Go Jags.

Not only did people not give them a chance, but they’ve been compared to the worst teams in the history of the NFL.

    Not bad for a half!

After the last two games, the Broncos as a lock to WIN the SuperBowl is far from a done thing.
They gave up last week the second highest points of the week, now they’re looking rather pathetic against the Jags.
Manning will find a way to self destruct in the playoffs.

Bronco fans are terrible fans. Sorry but your job as a fan is to cheer your team. Not boo and act like a bunch of English soccer fans. I hate how American fans have allowed that behavior to enter our sports.
