Raiders strike first at Kansas City

Terrelle Pryor AP

In a game where both starting quarterbacks have been under strong pass-rush pressure, the underdog Raiders scored first at Kansas City.

Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor connected with wideout Denarius Moore on a 39-yard touchdown to give Oakland a 7-0 lead with 8:47 left in the second quarter.

Pryor has been sacked three times, as has Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith. The Chiefs’ offense has especially struggled, with Smith completing just five of his first 14 attempts for 52 yards.

    Observations

    1. Talk about a popgun offense, did Alex Smith even throw a forward pass?
    2. Jamal Charles doesn’t know how to block, he doesn’t even have a clue.
    3. Much like the Bills a couple of years ago, the Chiefs need turnovers to survive.
    4. Andy Reid is so big, he fills up the whole screen.

    Observations

    1. Not an observation, it’s a question.
    2. Ridiculous to just an outstanding career on one play.
    3. Possibly, but you are denying they have a really good defense.
    4. Agreed.

KC is truly over rated. They have had a very soft schedule up to this point and it shows. Now that they are playing a hard nosed team like the “underdog” Raiders, it clearly shows how overblown they are. The Silver & Black’s defense and pass rush is looking very good.

Raiders win in a close game.

    RAIDER NATION !

All he does is win and I’m betting he does again today. Running for his life because the line can’t block….and he’s still making some plays. Keep hatin, he’s a hall of famer compared to Cassel!

so…again, KC’s D dominates, and owns the day. when will you finally accept that they are looking like the new #1 D in the AFC? screw the yardage stats, they are the best in sacks, and a lot of the other things that matter(scores)
