Report: “Bad vibes” about Larry Fitzgerald’s chances of playing

The Cardinals kick off against the 49ers in one of the late afternoon slots on Sunday and it’s still unclear whether or not they’ll have wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald in the lineup.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that there are “bad vibes” about his ability to play with the hamstring injury that limited him in practice this week. This hamstring injury is in a different spot than the one that hindered him earlier this season and Fitzgerald was listed as questionable on the final injury report of the week.

The Cardinals play again on Thursday night at home against the Seahawks and may be concerned that playing Fitzgerald on Sunday means that he won’t be available for Thursday. The worst case scenario would obviously be that Fitzgerald doesn’t play on Sunday and winds up missing Thursday’s game as well, although it’s unclear how much of a concern that is for Arizona.

Fitzgerald hasn’t missed a game since the 2007 season. We’ll find out later this afternoon if his streak remains intact.
