Thad Lewis sends Bills-Bengals to overtime

Thad Lewis’ first game as the Bills’ starting quarterback has been a memorable one.

Down 24-10 at the start of the fourth quarter, Lewis has rallied the Bills for two touchdowns to send the game to overtime. The first score came on a fourth down conversion to tight end Scott Chandler, who turned a short completion into a 22-yard score and the tying tally came when Lewis hit Marquise Goodwin for 40 yards with 68 seconds left to play to knot the score at 24.

Lewis finishes regulation with those two scores and a rushing touchdown in the first half to go with them. He also lost a fumble, but came up big at the biggest moment of the game for the Bills.

A final Bengals drive went up in smoke thanks to a pair of incompletions and the Bills took a knee to send things to overtime at Ralph Wilson Stadium.

This cat showed more moxy, poise, finesse, and balls in one game than EJ Manuel has showed all year.

That said, they both need serious work.
