When the list of inactive players comes out in a few minutes, look for Eagles quarterback Mike Vick’s name to not be included.
Per a league source, Vick is expected to be in uniform on Sunday against the Buccaneers. However, he is not expected to play.
Vick has been making progress this week after injuring a hamstring against the Giants. Still, he’s not where he needs to be, either to play at his best or to avoid an aggravation that could knock him out even longer.
So while Vick will be dressed, it’s highly unlikely that he plays.
Vick has played in all 16 games only once in his career. It happened in 2006, his final year with the Falcons, which featured wildly inconsistent performances and, ultimately, a middle finger for fans heckling him after a game.
