The news from yesterday’s demolition at the hands of the Panthers continues to get worse for the Vikings.

According to Tom Pelissero of USA Today, Vikings linebacker Desmond Bishop suffered a torn left ACL in yesterday’s loss, knocking him out for the season.

Bishop was starting for the first time as a Viking after signing there this offseason, and didn’t make it until halftime.

It’s another blow for a Vikings defense that also lost safety Harrison Smith to a turf toe injury, and cornerback Xavier Rhodes to an ankle sprain.
