The Cowboys beat the Redskins 31-16 on Sunday night to move to 3-3 on the year, but they lost a couple of starters on the way to the winner’s circle.
Murray has been diagnosed with a sprained left MCL and will have an MRI on Monday to determine the extent of the injury. After the game, quarterback Tony Romo said, via the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, “that’s going to be a tough loss” although there’s been nothing from the team about how long they expect Murray to be out. If Murray does miss a game or more, it will be the third time in three NFL seasons that he is forced out of the lineup by injury.
The Cowboys are calling Ware’s injury a strained right quad and he’ll also make a visit to the MRI machine on Monday. Ware, who has never missed a game, said after the game that he’s “good” but, again, the tests on Monday will give a clearer picture of his availability this week.
