The Bills replaced Colin Brown at left guard with Doug Legursky in Week Six and they don’t seem to have any regrets about the decision.

Coach Doug Marrone said Monday that Legursky did a nice job in Sunday’s overtime loss to the Bengals and the team announced Tuesday that they have released Brown. Brown had started the first five games of the season, but struggled as both a run and pass blocker. Legursky was out for the first four games of the season with a sprained knee suffered in the preseason and the Bills didn’t wait long after he was healthy to make a change.

The Bills promoted offensive lineman Mark Asper from the practice squad to take Brown’s place on the roster. Asper was a sixth-round pick last season, but didn’t make the Bills and wound up spending time with both the Vikings and Jaguars before making his way back to Buffalo this season.

Buffalo also signed offensive lineman Bryant Browning and linebacker Jacquies Smith to the practice squad and released defensive end Jamie Blatnick
