Lynch misses practice with hip injury

For Week Six, Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch was questionable but officially not injured.  But he had missed practice on Friday with a hip injury.

He played against the Titans.

This week, as the Seahawks prepare to face the Cardinals on Thursday night, Lynch has missed practice with a hip injury.

His status for the Week Seven game against the Cardinals isn’t known.  Also not practicing were defensive end Chris Clemons (elbow), tackle Breno Giacomini (knee), linebacker Bobby Wagner (ankle), and running back Spencer Ware (ankle).

My guess (and my hope) is that he plays.
Not uncommon to rest a runner before a game.
    Today is a logical day.
If he does not practice tomorrow it will mean something.

    He’ll play. He always does.

Beastmode will play against a practice squad Thursday night.

Marshawn Lynch misses a lot of practice. The offense is built around him and his running style. He knows the system. He will typically rest during the week to prepare for another day of running around with four 300lbs defensive players on his back.

    Go Hawks!

    Thursday games are the worst

I wish Goodell, Selig, Stern, and Bettman would all pile into the same car and take a long drive off a short pier.

He’s fine, he doesn’t need to practice.

  7. ufostomper says: Oct 15, 2013 8:43 PM

He will play he’s on the injury report every week and looks like nothing is wrong with him

The Hawks are 1 out of 6 in the 7 games in Arizona. Thursday isn’t a gimme.

The Seahawks have an endless supply of adderall to get him back on the field. Allegedly.

We want the ball and we’re gonna score.

Is this going to be reported every week? Because he has missed Wednesday practice for the last two weeks.

A player like Lynch, you limit those shots he take through the year because he takes more than anybody with that tough style of running. True beast!

Lynch on the sidelines in week 2: “We gonna go to the Super Bowl”
Sherman standing next to him: “I’m mic’d up bruh”

This was commonplace last year. Injury report to get him out of practice all week, then on Sunday (or Monday or Thursday), business as usual.

On the plus side, this is the shortest I’ve seen the injury list since the season started. Knock wood.

And snoqualmieterry, great point. This is not a gimme, this is going to be a tooth-and-nail kind of game against a team that is a very tough out in that dome. There is no such thing as an ugly in-division road win.

The Arizona isn’t a gimme. The Seahawks are going to have to bring it! Go Hawks!

Wilson has a lot of pride and he lost here in his rookie start. Expect him to have circled this game on the schedule. You’re going to get his A++ game Thursday night. Prepare for a show.

If Barry Sanders had Dan Marino’s arm his name would be Russell Wilson.

Yeah, that hip injury really affected his game last Sunday: against one of the better defenses in the league, Lynch only got into the endzone twice, and only one of his pass receptions went for more than 50 yards.

Yeah, he was really struggling out there.

I would love to see RB Christine Michael get a few passes out of the backfield. That dude has a SERIOUS set of wheels on him.

Skid kid, you’re joking right? Go look at the defenses Seattle has played. They are ranked like 2,5,9,11,15,21

  24. jtylert says: Oct 16, 2013 12:34 PM

They basically play him and then freeze him in carbonate till the next game.
