There is a bright side to the Steelers trade for Levi Brown, who was placed on injured reserve without playing a game for him.
At least it didn’t cost them anything.
The swap that sent him from the Cardinals to the Steelers was for a conditional draft pick. According to Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic, the condition was that Brown had to be on the active roster for five games.
Considering he didn’t get through warm-ups in the first one, that condition can be considered unmet.
The Steelers are now left to either stay with Kelvin Beachum or hope that benched second-rounder Mike Adams recovers from his public shaming to play well.
