Bobby Wagner won’t play on Thursday night

The Seahawks played the Titans last Sunday without middle linebacker Bobby Wagner and the short turnaround before Thursday night’s game against Arizona didn’t give his ankle enough time to heal.

Coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday that Wagner will not play against the Cardinals. K.J. Wright started in Wagner’s place against Tennessee and will be there again on Thursday.

Curtis Crabtree of PFT also reports that Carroll said running back Marshawn Lynch, who was listed on the injury report with a hip injury, is good to go for the game. The same goes for tight end Zach Miller, who has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury but was deemed ready to return for the contest.

Defensive end Chris Clemons will be a game-time decision. Clemons has 2.5 sacks in four games since making his return from last year’s torn ACL, but a hyperextended elbow suffered against the Titans could force him back out of the lineup this week.

Just double the dosage, works for the other 52 players.

Let’s see…your response lacks originality, wit, and any recognition that high ankle sprains frequently sideline players (of all teams). But you keep tossing out that PED reference, that’s much easier than actually thinking. Bravo sir.

  2. Bobby Wagner is a true stud in the middle. He lead Seattle in tackles as a rookie and had the headset getting everyone lined up. I know Keuchly gets deserved props are a young up and comer but for this Hawk defense I think Wagner is the perfect MLB.

KJ Wright is solid inside but I don’t believe in Malcom Smith. He played solid against the run last week but if he is tested in coverage I have watched him look completely lost for 2 years when he is out there.

I still feel great about our team because of the depth at DE if Clem can’t go. Avril, Bennett, Bruce, Scholfield will get some time against his former team.
