Dwayne Harris wins NFC special teams honors

Dwayne Harris AP

Some weeks, there might be some competition for a conference’s special teams player of the week.

But Cowboys return man Dwayne Harris ran away with this one.

Harris had an 88-yard punt return for a touchdown and a 90-yard kickoff return against the Redskins, part of a 222-yard night.

According to the league, he’s the first player in league history to exceed a 50-yard average on both punts and kickoffs in a single game.

    Well deserved.

If he had a great game and then fumbled on the very last kickoff and cost them the game then he would have gotten “screwed” like Romo did.

Not mentioned here but Harris has also been excellent in covering punts too.

Thats what Im talking about, My boys acting like they came to play this year.

Now I am the BIGGEST opposer of Tony Romo wearing a Cowboys Jersey, but that game agaisnt Denver; Romo came to Play. He did his part with very few errors that night, but that DEFENSE was so Trash agaisnt Denver and they know you cannot come half stepping with Peyton…like fareal. Now I am not a Romo fan, but If i hear one more person blame that man for that lost agaiisnt Denver I am going to Scream.

    IT WAS NOT ROMO’s fault!

Let’s not forget the huge TACKLES he made on Special Teams, too. Special Teams comes down to who wants it most. Great to see a WR with that much heart!

skinsfan83 says …he should thank the refs. get real man the refs had nothing to do with it. even if the flag wasn’t thrown it was still a punt return. so U can thank your idiot special teams coach for the penalty and the sorry a#$ special teams for the rest your redskins lost so get over it. GO COWBOYS!!!!

Well if not the refs… Thanks to the player that blocked in the back on both big returns….
