The Giants brought in a reality show worth of candidates, but have apparently found their next replacement running back.

According to Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports, the Giants will sign Peyton Hillis to fill in at a short-handed spot.

The Giants brought in several others for workouts Tuesday, and kept them over for physicals.

Hillis has kind of fallen off the face of the Earth since his breakout 2010 season with the Browns, when he ran for 1,177 yards and 11 touchdowns. Since then, he’s averaging a pedestrian 3.6 yards per carry, bouncing through stints with the Chiefs and the Buccaneers without much distinction.

Of course, Brandon Jacobs hadn’t looked like much prior to last week’s 106-yard outburst, so maybe Hillis has a shot.
