For the first time in 10 months, Ravens linebacker Jameel McClain is practicing.

McClain, who has been out since suffering a spinal cord contusion in Week 14 of last season, is participating in his first practice of the season today.

We’re going to practice Jameel McClain today,” Ravens coach John Harbaugh said, via CSNBaltimore.com. “Do not know what that means for this week, next week, or the week after. We do know that it means that within three weeks we have to make a decision about whether we put him on the 53-man roster. So we’ll just have to see how it goes.”

The Ravens are keeping McClain on the physically unable to perform list for now, but they must decide within the next three weeks whether to bring him up to the active roster or officially end his season. If all goes well at practice, McClain could be back on the field for the Ravens, and perhaps back in the starting lineup for the second half of the season.
