Rodger Saffold returns to practice for Rams

Rams Falcons Football AP

The St. Louis Rams saw the return of tackle Rodger Saffold to the practice field on Wednesday.

According to the Associated Press, Saffold wasn’t listed on the injury report for the Rams as he works to return from a sprained MCL suffered in the team’s Week 2 game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Head coach Jeff Fisher said Saffold was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice.

Saffold has missed the last four games for the Rams since suffering the injury. Joe Barksdale has filled in with Saffold on the sidelines getting the start at right tackles the last four weeks.

Saffold said he wasn’t sure of his status for this week’s game against the Carolina Panthers.

Right back hurt if he plays. It seems like he distracted by moving to the right and his contract situation

Saffold is a good RT (although he’d prefer to be LT), but the guy hasn’t been able to stay on the field.

That picture is something Ram’s fans are VERY used to. I expect we will probably see a similiar picture taken about halfway through the first quater on Sunday.

I guess he’s been distracted by his contract and was worried of his move to the right side since his second NFL season.
