Practicing for the first time this season after serving a six-game suspension, Broncos linebacker Von Miller said Wednesday that he fit right in.
“Oh, it was great,” Miller said. “I was excited to be out there with all my teammates and my coaches, the linebacker corps. It was great. It was fun. That was the thing I was looking forward to the most: not the game so much, but just getting out there with guys, running around, building that esprit de corps. I think that I had a very good day today.”
Broncos coach John Fox confirmed that, saying Miller looks like he’s ready to step in and contribute immediately.
“He had an outstanding practice,” Fox said. “Obviously, he’s got fresh legs and ready to roll and excited about the opportunity this week.”
Miller said he has been working out and is in great shape, and he’ll be ready to go on Sunday night in Indianapolis. Getting Miller back at full speed may make the best team in the NFL better.
