The Cowboys’ defensive line, beset by injuries since the summer, has lost another member for at least the next eight games.

Edgar Jones, a reserve defensive end and special teams player, was placed on injured reserve/designated for return on Friday, the club said.

Jones, who’s missed the last two games with an abdominal/groin injury, is eligible to return to game action on December 15 against Green Bay, the club said.

The Cowboys acquired Jones from Kansas City at the end of the preseason. He’s appeared in four games this season, notching five tackles.
