The return of Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski will be the big headline heading into Sunday’s game with the Jets, but the Pats aren’t the only team getting a player back from injury.
Cornerback Dee Milliner will be in the lineup for the Jets after missing the last three games with a hamstring injury. Milliner has struggled with a variety of injuries during his rookie season and played poorly in the team’s first matchup with New England this season. That led to a spot on the bench for Milliner after starting the first two games of the year, a change that wasn’t what the Jets would have hoped to make with their first-round pick.
Wide receiver Santonio Holmes remains out for the Jets with his own hamstring injury. He said Thursday that he was receiving seven hours of treatment a day on the injury and castigated the media for getting in the way of his recovery.
“How am I feeling right now? Like, you guys are interrupting my treatment time right now,” Holmes said, via the New York Post.
Holmes won’t have to make himself available to the media for the next few days so all should be well with his hamstring in no time.
