Dee Milliner set to return for Jets, Santonio Holmes still out

The return of Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski will be the big headline heading into Sunday’s game with the Jets, but the Pats aren’t the only team getting a player back from injury.

Cornerback Dee Milliner will be in the lineup for the Jets after missing the last three games with a hamstring injury. Milliner has struggled with a variety of injuries during his rookie season and played poorly in the team’s first matchup with New England this season. That led to a spot on the bench for Milliner after starting the first two games of the year, a change that wasn’t what the Jets would have hoped to make with their first-round pick.

Wide receiver Santonio Holmes remains out for the Jets with his own hamstring injury. He said Thursday that he was receiving seven hours of treatment a day on the injury and castigated the media for getting in the way of his recovery.

“How am I feeling right now? Like, you guys are interrupting my treatment time right now,” Holmes said, via the New York Post.

Holmes won’t have to make himself available to the media for the next few days so all should be well with his hamstring in no time.

The Jets D front seven are very good. Pats/Jets games often are very close as could be this Sunday.

But Sheldon Richardson especially being a rookie(very good one) shouldn’t pull on Superman’s Cape.

I wish Santonio Holmes would act more like Fitzgerald and play through the pain. He is such a me first player and he’s diva’ing his way out of NY.

Can’t wait for Sunday! Go jets.

Billy B and the crew usually make good adjustments for the second game against the Jets, so I’ll be expecting a loss but I wouldn’t be entirely shocked if the Jets won, either. They’ve had a lot of close ones recently. Maybe this time they can get out of their own way and win it.

Is anybody less appreciated of his lot in life than Metonio Holmes? I have a feeling the Yets “Can’t Wait” to move on from him at the end of this year.

I can’t wait until Holmes is cut at the end of the year.
