How long has it been since the Eagles won a game at home?

Long enough that Andy Reid has tasted victory at Lincoln Financial Field more recently than the Eagles. When Reid’s Chiefs beat the Eagles in Philadelphia in Week Three, it extended the Eagles’ home losing streak to a franchise record-tying eight games. What’s more, the team hasn’t had a winning record on their home field since 2009, something that cornerback Cary Williams feels it is necessary for the team to change.

“I think it’s huge,” Williams said, via Phil Sheridan of ESPN.com. “It’s vital to win your home games. I know from years past, wherever I’ve been, we always focused on winning home games. You try to split on the road as best you can, but you play tough at home. You’ve got the crowd behind you. As a defense, that’s difficult for the opposing offense.”

This would be an ideal time for the Eagles to flip the script. They host the Cowboys and Giants in the next two weeks and starting a home winning streak would give them a significant leg up in the race for the NFC East as it would leave them at 5-3 halfway through the season and 4-0 in the division.
