Willis McGahee returns to practice

The Browns’ starting tailback resumed practicing on Friday.

Willis McGahee, who sat out practice on Thursday with a knee ailment, returned to the field on Friday morning, multiple media outlets reported, including the Canton Repository.

According to multiple reports, McGahee’s off-day Thursday was planned to rest his knee.

The 31-year-old McGahee has rushed for 164 yards on 59 carries since joining Cleveland in September. He replaced the departed Trent Richardson as the Browns’ featured back.

The Browns (3-3) are one game out of first place in the AFC North. Cleveland plays at Green Bay on Sunday afternoon.

5 Years ago I would have feared to have him play against the Packers. The guy was great in his prime! However he is not the same player… So kinda figuring this as good news for the Packers because he will be easy to stop.
