49ers activate Quinton Dial

AJ McCarron, Quinton Dial AP

The 49ers have added rookie defensive tackle Quinton Dial to the roster, the club said on Saturday.

A fifth-round pick, the 6-foot-5, 318-pound Dial had spent the first six games on the reserve/non-football injury list with a toe injury.

The 49ers now have all 53 roster spots filled entering Sunday’s game at Tennessee.

Dial, 23, played his last two collegiate seasons at Alabama.

Nice! If this kid performs anywhere close to what Eric Reid is doing…..watch out!

And to think, we haven’t even seen Tank Carradine on the field yet.

They took risks on him & Lattimore. I think its gonna pay off in the long run with the others as well.

Same niner group think as always…”He’s a steal…he’s gonna dominate…can’t believe we got him in the 5th rnd when he was clearly a first rnd talent…Kaep is gonna have 4,000/1,000…

    Wake up dreamers.

Excited to see him activated. I hope he sees playing time today and stays healthy throughout. He will only get better with time and the lessons of the likes of Justin Smith.

He looked awestruck on Sunday. Get in the film room and in the back pocket of Justin Smith. If you can learn toughness, and nastiness from him, you could have a long, lucrative time in The League.
