One of the Patriots’ top players was part of the club’s traveling party on Saturday, while another key player stayed home.
Tight end Rob Gronkowski was among the Patriots making the trip to play the Jets on Sunday, Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald reported.
However, cornerback Aqib Talib did not make the trip, the Herald said.
Talib was listed as doubtful for Week Seven with a hip flexor injury. Earlier this week, PFT reported Talib was expected to miss the Jets game.
Gronkowski (back/forearm) is listed as questionable for Sunday, though he has been cleared to return to the playing field. The Pro Bowl tight end has missed the Patriots’ first six regular-season games.
