Bengals lose Leon Hall to Achilles injury

The Bengals’ defense has suffered a major blow today in Detroit.

Cincinnati cornerback Leon Hall, the Bengals’ best defensive back, has suffered an Achilles injury. The Bengals have already declared him out for the rest of the game, and although we won’t know the full extent of the injury until Hall has an MRI, with an Achilles injury there’s a good chance that Hall is done for the season.

The injury took place on a fairly routine play: Hall was covering Calvin Johnson in the end zone, and both men leapt up for a high pass that went out of bounds. Hall landed awkwardly and immediately grabbed his ankle. Although he was able to walk off the field under his own power, he appeared to be fighting back tears and looked like a man who feared his season is over.

Anyone who cheers about an injury is not a real fan. These men risk their bodies for our amusement. I am not a Bengal’s fan; however, I wish him a speedy recovery.

Never like to see injuries but I think the Lions grind this one out.

a great player but if the Bengals are truly a championship quality team then they have to have players step up… other teams have done it many times.

Time for Kirkpatrick to prove he wasn’t a bust now. I really hope he can prove it anyway…

Also, when are they going to call PI on Rashean Mathis? He’s just mauling Sanu and never looking for the ball.

    Terrible loss.

Denver and Kansas City’s Defenses need to get much worse to make me optimistic.

Fortunately…. the Bengals Offense and Defense are still better than baltimore and pittsburgh.

Why is no one talking about the illegal forward pass on the field goal block??????

It was a HUGE missed call!!!!

1st rounder Dre Kirkpatrick can’t even overtake 35 year old Terence Newman or 30 year old Pacman Jones.

To be fair…. due to his Kirkpatrick’s rookie training camp knee injury …. Kirkpatrick missed all but 5 games.

So…. this is 2nd year Kirkpatrick’s “rookie” season.

Leon Hall is a great Bengal. Sad to see this happen. But he will fight back from it again. Wishing you the best Leon.
