An interception of Geno Smith handed the Patriots the lead in the first half and an interception of Tom Brady has helped the Jets to the lead in the second.

Antonio Allen returned an interception 23 yards on the first possession of the second half to cut New England’s lead to 21-17. Allen has had a strong game in coverage against Rob Gronkowski all day and his pick came on a throw to the returning tight end.

The Jets defense then forced a pair of three and outs, including a sack of Brady by Damon Harrison and a hit by Dawan Landry to break up another throw to Gronkowski. The Jets got good field position after the second and Geno Smith turned it into a touchdown with a pair of brilliant runs through the Patriots defense.

The first ended with Smith reaching just far enough for a first down on third-and-14 and then sprinted eight yards to give the Jets a 24-21 lead.

UPDATE 3:16 p.m. ET: Make it 27-21. A Muhammad Wilkerson sack set up another three and out and a Josh Cribbs punt return into New England territory turned into a Nick Folk field goal.
