Eagles quarterback Nick Foles is being checked for a potential head injury, the club said.

Rookie Matt Barkley has replaced Foles in the lineup.

Foles completed 11-of-29 passes for 80 yards before leaving the game. Fox sideline reporter Pam Oliver indicated Foles is undergoing the NFL’s concussion protocol.

The Cowboys have taken a 17-3 fourth-quarter lead in Philadelphia.

Anyone who think Nick Foles will ever be the Eagles starting QB should be checked for a head injury.

  4. bluebongzilla says: Oct 20, 2013 4:19 PM

Oh, he’ll start for the Eagles. But he couldn’t start anywhere else.

It’s a shame. I wanted Foles to have another good game solely so he could be used as trade bait (a la Kolb) in the offseason. He was NEVER the future of this franchise. All you Foles fanboys are delusional. Probably the same folks who were all about Kolb when he was here.

    eagles with 3 points! LOL

Cowboys first in the NFC east.

    Haters do what you do.

From NFC Player of the Week to the worst QB performance I ever had the displeasure to witness. SMH.

Congrats on barely beating a bad team’s 2nd and 3rd string QBs.

Congrats on being a bad team with no serviceable QB’s?

Yeah, yeah, yeah…All we’ve heard all week was “QB Controversy in Philly” and how Foles was the real deal. 1st, 2nd or 3rd string…you have to beat whatever team is on the field. And may I mention that the Cowboys were without their DeMarco Murray and DeMarcus Ware…and still held that “explosive” Eagles Offense in check. Call it what you will, but I’ll take the W and a 3-0 division record.

Apparently, 14 points is barely beating a team. Barkley didn’t come in until late in the 4th either. And how many Eagles fans were calling for Foles to replace Vick as the starter before today?? Thought so.

I said a bad game from Foles and the boo birds would jump off the bandwagon. Kudos to the defense for keeping Dallas in check. Let’s hope Mike is healthy against the Giants or we’ll give Eli his first win.

Foles is 2 and 9 as a starter and see what he do against better teams. Vick is the starter nothing else to say

  14. eaglesfan29 says: Oct 20, 2013 5:11 PM

Is it foles head that hurts or his feelings

  15. mvpcowboys says: Oct 20, 2013 5:23 PM

The great chip kelly offense with foles and barkley, 3 pts. Yah its gonna work in the NFL. This ain’t the NCAA. These are grown men, not kids.

  16. o0omorriso0o says: Oct 20, 2013 5:37 PM

for the record – I have always thought vick was the better qb over foles. i take quite a beating on the eagles message board every day because of that stance…

good game cowboy fans. However I am fully convinced that had Vick played that game today for the Eagles that the Eagles would have won the ball game. Foles missed “WIDE OPEN” recievers all game. Not to mention the Cowboys probably wouldnt be able to get away from playing man coverage against vick (his threat to take off)…

Still think the Eagles can win the division but Vick needs to get back on the field cause Foles and Barkley are nothing special at all. And thats an understatement…

  17. o0omorriso0o says: Oct 20, 2013 5:39 PM

Has Vick ever lossed to the cowboys (or redskins for that matter) when he started and finished a game for the Eagles?

Wish Vick was out there today :(

Has Vick ever started and finished a game for the Eagles?

How many times has Vick exagerrated injuries and left big losses while with the Eagles?

All you really need to worry about is when Vick starts, the Eagles are just one game above a .500 team.

Nick Foles will be a very serviceable back-up, either for this team, or somewhere in the league, but he is not now, was, or will be the starting quarterback anywhere. An Eagles team in rebuilding mode showed why they are. They are inconsistent, short of talent, and still learning. They are several talented free agent acquisitions and one or two drafts away from serious contending status. Their eventual quarterback is still in college, Vick, Foles and Barkley are stop gaps until Kelly drafts him. And as painful as it is watching them, my only expectations for this year was it ending with us having a very high draft choice.

  20. bluebongzilla says: Oct 20, 2013 5:58 PM

“for the record – I have always thought vick was the better qb over foles.”

Talk about damning with faint praise. Foles hit many guys in the hands today, and they flat dropped the ball. Celek seems to have forgotten how to catch, in particular.

Vick’s a career 56% passer. He is what he is, and what he isn’t is an accurate passer.

Cowboy fans don’t deserve a winning team. When the cowboys lose their fans disappear. Can’t find them.
