He missed the first four games of the 2013 season due to suspension. He has more than made up for it in the last two games.

And it appears he’ll play his third game on Sunday.

Per a league source, Jaguars receiver Justin Blackmon is likely to play on Sunday against the Chargers, despite a hamstring injury that has left him officially questionable.

Blackmon has 19 catches for 326 yards and a touchdown in his only two games. It puts him at No. 48 in the league, despite playing in only 33 percent of the games.

Of course, there’s no guarantee Blackmon will be around for all of the final 12. With only one year in the league and already enough violations of the substance-abuse policy to result in a four-game suspension, he’s likely in Stage Three -- which means that he’ll have to submit to and pass up to 10 tests per month. One false move, and he’s gone for at least a year.

Here’s hoping that Blackmon has overcome whatever challenges resulted in his suspension. He has plenty of talent; he needs to keep himself in position to get the most out of it.
