Report: Georgia Dome’s visiting locker room specially cleaned after game

According to a report, the Georgia Dome’s visiting locker room apparently got a thorough cleaning after the Buccaneers — who have dealt with staph infections this season — departed the facility.

Per Fox 13 in Tampa Bay, the visiting locker room was entered by workers in hazardous-material suits after Tampa Bay personnel exited the room on Sunday afternoon.

According to Kevin O’Donnell of Fox 13, the cleaning crew told him they had a “special cleaner” and that the cleaning was related to MRSA prevention.

In August, the Patriots had their facility cleaned after news of the Bucs’ staph infections surfaced, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported. The Buccaneers had worked out at New England’s facility during the summer.

The Buccaneers lost 31-23 to the Falcons on Sunday.

Smart move. Anything less would have been negligent.

I hope they also used an Exorcist to rid the building of Schiano’s presence. Its toxic to NFL teams.

The Falcons worried that Greg Schiano is contagious.

It’s like that one dirty friend that everyone had growing up. You let them come over because you feel bad for them, but you’re definitely washing the sheets and wiping down the nintendo controllers with Lysol

Hope they sent the Bucs the bill…

The Falcons should clean their locker room after every game Roddy White talks all that crap. Roddy’s words out of his mouth are worse than MRSA staph….

Here’s a thought. Maybe TAMPA should clean their OWN facility. Or is that too obvious?

  12. purpleguy says: Oct 20, 2013 11:46 PM

That must really make the Bucs players feel secure.

Tampa should change their nickname from the Buccaneers to the Typhoid Marys.

If Freeman lights up the Giants the Bucs might want explore expunging their entire coaching staff.

MRSA is no joke so it’s the right thing to do. I hope the Bucs do something similar with their facilities every now and again.

  20. provguard says: Oct 21, 2013 6:38 AM

What would you do??? I’d nuke clean it also…..

  21. 1uniquename says: Oct 21, 2013 7:33 AM

Is it just me or are the bucs the best of the worst teams? I always think they can win, they’re usually competitive but somehow always lose. Sounds like bad coaching, Schiano has to get fired and hopefully for the bucs it’s sooner rather than later.

  22. cometkazie says: Oct 21, 2013 7:54 AM

    Prudent . . .

  23. whitetrashking says: Oct 21, 2013 8:32 AM

At 2-4 I think the Suck was already in the building…..

  24. Kaz says: Oct 21, 2013 9:06 AM

If MRSA wasn’t so serious this would be comical.

  25. shallowfan says: Oct 21, 2013 9:57 AM

I would be embarrassed if I knew some called in a has-mat team to clean specifically after I left…the hits just keep on coming.
