Steelers’ decision to deactivate Curtis Brown catches Ravens’ attention

Who says the Ravens-Steelers rivalry has lost some luster?

OK, it has.  But that’s beside the point for now.  A pre-game development has added a little intrigue to the first game of this year’s home-and-home clash between Pittsburgh and Baltimore.

Cornerback Curtis Brown has been deactivated by the Steelers.  Per a league source, that has immediately caught the attention of the Ravens.

The Ravens regard Brown as Pittsburgh’s best special-teams player.  And the Ravens now wonder whether there’s more to the story, given that Brown didn’t appear at all on this week’s injury report.

Among the other inactives is linebacker Jarvis Jones, who suffered a concussion last week against the Jets.

Really? The deactivation of a TERRIBLE corner (he’s a good to pretty good special teamer) has the ravens panties up in a bunch? This has to be made up

Instead of no more players like Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Bernard Pollard, James Harrison, Hines Ward, Troy P being a shell of himself, Ben not playing in either game last year….Curtis Brown has been deactivated and the Ravens have to figure out why. How intriguing.

Yeah I’d say it’s losing some of it’s luster.

The Ravens want to be us. Everything we do gets their attention.

I feel no ill will towards the real Steelers fans. But fair weather fans (Deb), that don’t post when the Steelers lose, hope you enjoy the “Ratbirds” domination today! Cheers!

I have come on every week and posted congratulations to whatever team beat the Steelers. It may come as a shock to you, but some of us have lives beyond the football blog.

    Uhhh, no you haven’t.

You’ve made excuses, thrown players under the bus, and in general made excuses.

    Deb, the answer is easy.

You cheated with steroids and HGH and now your pusher is in jail.

You’re headed to the same fate your baseball team has found over the last 30 years.

Classless fans. Classless organization. Classless team.
