Rams’ quarterback search won’t include Vince Young or Tim Tebow

JeffFisher

With Sam Bradford done for the year and only Kellen Clemens on the roster, the Rams need a quarterback.

They’re expected to try out several. According to Chris Mortensen of ESPN, the several won’t include Vince Young or Tim Tebow.

The omission of Young is no surprise. Drafted by the Titans in 2006, Young had a rocky relationship, at best, with Jeff Fisher, who now coaches the Rams. Ultimately, Fisher essentially fired Young during the season.

With Tebow, however, the ongoing lack of interest is unclear. The guy took a team to the final eight less than two years ago.

Meanwhile, the Bears have signed 29-year-old Jordan Palmer, who has appeared in four career games and thrown 15 career passes.

Regardless of what the Rams do, it’ll be ugly next Monday night in St. Louis. As Peter King pointed out in today’s Monday Morning Quarterback column, the Cardinals will be hosting Game Five of the World Series that same night, barring a sweep.

And the Rams can move anywhere they want after the 2014 season.

See you in somewhere other than St. Louis.
