Eagles bring quarterback G.J. Kinne back

The Eagles don’t know enough about the health of quarterbacks Michael Vick or Nick Foles to know who’s starting Sunday.

But they do know they’ve got a practice today they need to get through.

The team announced they’ve brought back quarterback G.J. Kinne to the practice squad.

He was with them in camp this offseason, so he has the best shot of providing good work during the week, until they know whether they need to add someone for Sunday’s game to go along with rookie Matt Barkley.

Things change from week to week in the NFL. Last week I was thinking what a great situation the Eagles had QB. This week after 80 passing yards from one QB and 3 picks from another I may need to dial down my expectations. And my expectations weren’t that high to start with (7-9)

Interesting to see how this plays out…Chip named Vick the ‘starter’, so would expect him to start if healthy. If Foles is healthy and Vick isn’t, then he starts…if they are all healthy, wonder if Chip defaults to Vick as the starter (which is what I guess he will do). Don’t see him pulling a Reid and having the named starter lose his job because of injury.

What is it with these USC QB’s like Barkley?
