Four people have been charged with battery and disorderly conduct after an ugly incident between fans at Sunday’s Patriots-Jets game.
The New Jersey State Police announced that Amanda MacDowell of Marlborough, Massachusetts, Jaclyn Nugent of Boston, David James Sacco of Boston and Kurt Paschke of Holbrook, New York, have been charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct.
“The investigation revealed that Amanda MacDowell and Jaclyn Nugent were observed kicking and punching Paschke in the body and head. Shortly thereafter, Paschke was observed striking Nugent with a punch to the face. David James Sacco then was observed striking Paschke in the face,” the police said in a statement.
The Jets released a statement saying the fans aren’t welcome at MetLife Stadium.
“We have zero tolerance for this behavior,” the Jets’ statement said. “Consistent with our Fan Code of Conduct, those involved have been banned from attending any events at the stadium. Once the legal process has run its course, each of them must take the necessary steps before even being considered for readmission to future events.”
All four have court appearances scheduled at East Rutherford Municipal Court. The Jets say that if the four request the opportunity to attend games in the future, they may be considered for re-admittance to the stadium if they complete an online conduct course and submit a written apology.
