PFT on NBCSN: Coaching hot seat, Power rankings

The Broncos’ loss to the Colts on Sunday night did more than just make Mercury Morris and his pals from the 1972 Dolphins a little bit closer to popping this year’s bottle of champagne.

It also meant a changing of the guard at the top of the weekly power rankings. The Broncos have dropped out of the top spot and another AFC West team is taking their place. The Chiefs are the last of the unbeatens, which has moved them to No. 1, and the Pro Football Talk on NBCSN crew will discuss that change and the rest of the rankings on Tuesday’s episode.

With another week down, it is also time for the weekly check of the temperature of the seats of head coaches around the league. The Vikings’ 23-7 loss to the previously hapless Giants will keep Vikings coach Leslie Frazier’s name in consideration and the rest of the league’s most vulnerable coaches will be up for discussion as well.

It all gets started at 5:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

If you could minimize the number of posts which are essentially advertisements for your other media outlets, that’d be great.

At least Mercury and the rest of Dolphin nation has the ’72 Dolphins, because Sunday showed they will be pretenders yet again!

So good to see Wrecks Ryan off this list. It’s worth seeing the Patriots lose to keep him around longer

The Chiefs and the Broncos basically have the same strength of schedule.

The Broncos are the better team because Manning has thrown for 1,000 more yards already and almost 20 more touchdowns than Alex Smith.

The Chiefs defense is winning their games. And that defense could take them to a Superbowl. But, if the Chiefs get to the Superbowl, they will need more than just a good defense.

    2. Chiefs
    3. Seahawks

It doesn’t matter how you rank them, the Seahawks will get to the Superbowl this year and we’ll put an end to that empty trophy case everyone loves to mention.

Schiano will be gone Friday morning after the Bucs drop another to Carolina. He was on spot on Freeman but the Bucs have never been worse with so much talent. Love the McKay interview days past when he was asked about the execution of the offensive line. He said he was all for it.

    Bears Fan:
Marc Trestman fires Mel Tucker at the end of the season.
He fired 3 DC in CFL and Tucker’s d has been the worst Bears D in over 10 years

Go-Hawks. The broncos have had a marshmallow schedule last year and this year. Everytime they face a decent team the last two years they lose. Putting them at number one is laughable.
