Michael Vick will try going full speed on Friday

AP

Michael Vick was a full participant in practice on Wednesday, the second straight day he was able to take part in all of the drills.

It’s still not enough for anyone to say that Vick is definitely going to play against the Giants on Sunday, however. Vick has been a full participant on the injury report, but he still isn’t going all out on the field. No one is going to be saying whether he’s playing until Friday at the earliest because that’s when Vick will go full speed for the first time to see how his hamstring responds.

“Nothing has changed from yesterday,” Vick said, via Reuben Frank of CSNPhilly.com. “I did a little bit more. I’m still limited. … Friday. Friday’s a big day for me.”

Vick took most of the 11-on-11 reps on Wednesday with Matt Barkley getting some, so Vick is going to be the starter if his hamstring continues to feel okay and passes Friday’s test. Nick Foles is still out with a concussion and is unlikely to be available this week.

  1. If we don’t beat the hopeless giants on Sunday, then start Bark/Nick for the rest of the year!
We’ve got to see if they’re real deals! At least 90% of the draft in April will need to be def!

  2. I am not going to read this Vick story. I’ll just read the new one 10 minutes from now. So much money is made off the Vick headlines and does not get a dime. The media is nonstop stoking the fire of Vick haters:(

  3. O think the greedy owners should meet with the commish to shore up that all important 18 game schedule and watered down playoff.
Lets let 16 of the 32 teams make the playoffs and lets see if we can run them to like April or May. Have the superbowl coincide with the Kentucky Derby and the start of baseball just to get some of that revenue money too.

Of course Nascar will have to run year round for sure and baseball will have to add 25 games and play the world series in a warm climate city in late November.

The Eagles are just as bad as the Giants. How does winning or losing this game reflect upon the Eagles’ fortunes going forward, and how does it reflect upon them as a team in relation to the rest of the league? They’re no better nor worse than the Giants.

uh, 4-4 would be a lot better than 1-7. The Giants are one of the worst teams in the NFL this year, the Eagles are mid pack.

Keep telling yourself that buddy!! Whatever helps you sleep at night!

    GOT DEPTH?!?!
    The Giants DON’T!

I heard Reese is going out in the NJ streets asking if any fat guys want to be on the Giants OL!!

  7. As I told Eagles fans, and they were handed a FG by awful officiating last week and an equally awful special teams play by the Giants today, the Eagles are WORSE than the Giants. That should have been two straight GOOSE EGGS by that team.
