Shaun Suisham named AFC special teams player of week

Steelers kicker Shaun Suisham hasn’t missed this season, and he finally hit on some recognition.

Suisham was named AFC special teams player of the week after his perfect performance against the Ravens last week.

He hit all four of his field goal attempts, including the game-winning 42-yarder as time expired for a 19-16 win. It was his eighth game-winning kick of his career, six of them with the Steelers.

He’s off to a 14-of-14 start this season, the deepest he’s gotten into a season without a miss.

The only award a Steeler will receive the whole season

    Hint: this team is depleted

At least the kicker doesn’t suck like the rest of the team!

Your screen name is only less moronic than your post. I guess your team lost to the steelers quite often to cause such pathetic hatred and envy….yawn.

I love when peoples usernames are something about hating the Steelers or the town of Pittsburgh. It’s so awesome to know that we live in the minds of trolls. I hate the ravens but you don’t see me with a ftheravens username. I mean these people must be enraged with the Steelers to go that far! And I’m lovin every second of it! Hahahaha

Shaun Suisham needs be surrounded by armed guards and placed in a safe house under lock and key 24/7. He’s by far the Steelers’ Most Valuable Player.

    jinx

He’ll go on a string of misses now and fans who bother to still watch will cry out to cut him….or blame Tomlin…and want Ben the deity to do the kicking.

There’s nothing funny about a placekicker being his team’s most potent scoring weapon. If you actually knew anything about football, you’d understand that.

I kept thinking “jinx” everytime Fouts mentioned Suisham’s perfect record (for the season) this past Sunday. While I don’t necessarily fear a string of missed field goals, I do fear the one miss that will cost a game, and with the 2013 Steelers that could be any game.

Big prune: if you knew anything about life you wouldn’t take yourself so seriously…no one else does. Lighten up you need more prune juice.

Please try to remember I know what you have taught me about football and nothing more master prune.

    @bobzilla1001,

Surprised you didn’t mention Moye dropping the pass that Ben put right in his palms in the end zone. Or the pass Ben put right on Brown’s numbers in the corner of the end zone last week in NY that he also dropped.

I’m not quite sure how two drops translates into 8 field goals the past two games. But I do give you Roethlisberger Apologists credit: You’re always thinking.

This guy will score more points than the entire Ravens team this year.
