DeMarco Murray on track to play, DeMarcus Ware still not practicing

It doesn’t look like the Cowboys will have to play without both running back DeMarco Murray and defensive end DeMarcus Ware again this weekend.

That doesn’t mean they will have both players in the lineup, though. Murray appears to be on track for a return to the lineup after being held out with a knee sprain after practicing for the second straight day on Thursday. Assuming no setbacks from Thursday’s work, Murray should be ready to go come Sunday.

Ware’s looking much less likely to play. Ware didn’t practice on Thursday as he continues to rest his injured quad, although coach Jason Garrett said, via the team’s website, that Ware is making progress. While Ware insisted he’d be back sooner, word was that it would take him 3-4 weeks before he’d be back to health.

Kyle Wilber has a sack and a forced fumble while filling in for Ware in the last two games, which have both featured strong defensive performances from the Cowboys. The Lions offer some different challenges than the Redskins and Lions, but it still would be anything but a surprise to see Ware take another week off to recuperate.

Trade him while he still has value.

Both of those guys are worth more to the Cowboys then they would be to any other team. Would be stupid to trade them.

Trade him for McFadden. Blow everyone’s mind.
    Don’t even change jersey names.

Don’t know why I’m getting thumbs down.

Ware = wouldn’t get better then a 2nd rounder (really good players go for less with exception of qb’s). You really want to trade your franchise pass rusher who is hall of fame bound and still has a couple years left for a 2nd-4th round pick? Hatcher would be only starter on that D.line.

Murray = if you don’t think he’s a franchise running back what makes you think other teams think he is? Wouldn’t get more then a 5th for him considering how replaceable backs are considering how good the offense is with him in versus with him out, not worth the trade.

Don’t look for Ware to play until after the bye week. The young defensive linemen have played well in his absence. No division games before then anyway.

Rookie Randle played well for Murray last week. Be nice to have Murray back.
