It doesn’t look like the Cowboys will have to play without both running back DeMarco Murray and defensive end DeMarcus Ware again this weekend.

That doesn’t mean they will have both players in the lineup, though. Murray appears to be on track for a return to the lineup after being held out with a knee sprain after practicing for the second straight day on Thursday. Assuming no setbacks from Thursday’s work, Murray should be ready to go come Sunday.

Ware’s looking much less likely to play. Ware didn’t practice on Thursday as he continues to rest his injured quad, although coach Jason Garrett said, via the team’s website, that Ware is making progress. While Ware insisted he’d be back sooner, word was that it would take him 3-4 weeks before he’d be back to health.

Kyle Wilber has a sack and a forced fumble while filling in for Ware in the last two games, which have both featured strong defensive performances from the Cowboys. The Lions offer some different challenges than the Redskins and Lions, but it still would be anything but a surprise to see Ware take another week off to recuperate.
