Vikings quarterback Josh Freeman continues to struggle from the effects of a concussion no one knew he had until Wednesday.
And while the circumstances have prompted some skepticism (more on that later tonight), the official word remains that Freeman has a concussion. Coach Leslie Frazier said Thursday that Freeman could return to practice on Friday, but that Freeman won’t dress on Sunday.
It’s not a shock. With a concussion suffered on Monday night and with Freeman missing practices at a time when he definitely needs to practice, it makes no sense for him to play.
And so it’ll be Christian Ponder with Matt Cassel backing him up on Sunday night against the Packers.
