Peyton returns to practice, as expected

Denver Broncos v Indianapolis Colts Getty Images

The football-following world got a surprise on Thursday, when Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning missed practice with an ankle injury.

On Thursday, Manning was back.  As expected.

Manning fully participated in practice despite the ankle injury.  Per a league source, the injury originally happened not against the Colts but the prior Sunday, against the Jaguars.

Peyton remains on track to play on Sunday against Washington.  He’ll then have the bye week to rest it further.

All other Broncos who missed practice on Wednesday returned, with the exception of cornerback Champ Bailey (foot) and guard Chris Kuper (ankle).

Perhaps the best news for the Broncos is that right tackle Orlando Frankly, who missed Sunday’s game at Indy with an ankle injury, was able to practice on a limited basis.

Here’s some food for thought, here are a few QB’s with better QB rating than Brady this year.

What other proof do you need that this guy is so over rated it’s not even funny?

It sounds like you spend too much time trying to convince yourself Brady isn’t good. Pick up a hobby man.

forsbergler, Peyton called. He wants you to clean his jock strap.

  6. assuredmutualdestruction says: Oct 24, 2013 5:24 PM

    @forsbergler

I hate the prima dona bs just like anyone else, but Griffen can put a football anywhere he wants to. He doesn’t belong on that list of scrubs.

  7. steelersaregodsteam says: Oct 24, 2013 5:31 PM

Irsay will take credit for this.

  8. sveltegodzilla says: Oct 24, 2013 5:31 PM

I’m no Pats fan, but if any of those QBs were throwing to two rookie WRs, some scrub TEs, and the corpse of Danny Amendola, they wouldn’t look too hot either.

  9. jbaxt says: Oct 24, 2013 5:32 PM

He’s giving the basic form of throwing a football a bad name.

    Hopefully he’s practicing throwing spirals.

  10. moerawn says: Oct 24, 2013 5:32 PM

I bet he came back because he was afraid the Broncos would call Favre.

  11. stealthjunk says: Oct 24, 2013 5:36 PM

Is “Orlando Frankly” related to Orlando Franklin?

  12. jonevans83 says: Oct 24, 2013 5:40 PM

people love to talk about Brady s current crop of receivers… but what do they have to do with passes they are flying all over the place?

  13. forsbergler says: Oct 24, 2013 5:43 PM

I never said those guys were scrubs….They all have better QB ratings than brady, they should all be 1 ballot HOF’ers

  14. forsbergler says: Oct 24, 2013 5:46 PM

I just wanted to point out that rookie’s and 2nd year QB’s are doing it better than the best QB of all time….lol

TB = Over rated and is avg at best post spygate.

It’s funny how forsbergler doesn’t include stats from any other season. That’s fun.

How the heck did this become a Manning vs Brady thread?!

  18. gameover78 says: Oct 24, 2013 6:11 PM

Those stats are misleading, look at offensive weapons manning has compared to Brady. You want to go based off stats alone? Compare what really matters between the two QB’s, playoff stats and championships.

  19. lofynus says: Oct 24, 2013 6:19 PM

PFM leads the NFL with just 12 TD passes? So much for it being a passing league.

Anyway, I hate Tammy Barbie just as much as the next guy, but ANY quarterback’s stats would look pretty ordinary compared to PFM’s so far this season.

  20. stuartscottslazyeyeball says: Oct 24, 2013 6:25 PM

I’m going to laugh so hard when the Broncos have to go into the playoffs as a wildcard and lose in the first round. Choke.

You post the same Brady crap on every article. Obsessed with Brady?? Cause he’s filthy rich, has three rings,a beautiful wife,1st ballet HOF. While you sit in the cellar chokin the chicken.

  22. lance19 says: Oct 24, 2013 6:45 PM

forsbergler, if you seriously wanted to have a sober discussion of why Brady is viewed as positively as he is, maybe don’t start by cherry-picking his lowest passer rating (75.3) since 2001, and instead look at the remarkable 95.7 career average…

  23. iamthorny says: Oct 24, 2013 6:50 PM

  24. animalkindness says: Oct 24, 2013 7:12 PM

Hey somethingsmellsrotten: Always trolling the PFT sight so you can get a dig in about Manning.
He is a good qb period and as for what smells rotten: how about your upper lip?

  25. frostymugobeer says: Oct 24, 2013 7:58 PM

FOOD FOR THOUGHT? Stats don’t win Superbowl s and last time I checked Brady has quite a few rings and a few more appearances. You can throw stats around for a ton of players? I mean Ray Lweis is condidered one of if not the best LB of all time by many but yet London Fletcher has the same stats as Lewis and is some categories..better…

Going by the way you are talking….Dan Marino is the Greatest Qb ever to play the game.

  30. joetoronto says: Oct 25, 2013 5:16 AM

While Brady’s best days are clearly behind him, you can’t just look at this year as a snapshot of his career, that’s insane.

As for his numbers post spy gate, they were awesome until this year too.

    SMH.

Orlando Franklin is the key from here on out. He is one of the best young tackles in the game. Gotta have him, then its a B offensive line again…Without him C minus.

    When they had Clady, A..
