Rams brought in only two quarterbacks for workouts

dt.common.streams.StreamServer.cls

After losing Sam Bradford for the season due to injury, many believed that the Rams would conduct what’s known as a “Gong Show” tryout of quarterbacks.

It made sense, given that the Rams had only Kellen Clemens on the roster.

Per a league source, the Rams ultimately brought in only two quarterbacks for tryouts on Tuesday:  Brady Quinn and Tyler Thigpen.

Quinn was signed, along with Austin Davis (or is it Davis Austin?), who had been in camp with the Rams.

Receiver Terrell Sinkfield joined the tryout, for the purposes of catching passes from Quinn and Thigpen.

Tim Tebow and Vince Young weren’t part of the process, as expected.  Brett Favre surely wouldn’t have had to go through a tryout, if he were indeed interested in playing.

Those three names could keep coming up if/when (when) quarterbacks keep going down.

Davis will likely make a few starts this year. We all know hoe inept Clemens and Quinn are.

Just start Clemens and tank the season for draft picks. IF they’re committed to Bradford, they might as well use the draft to build a team around him for next year…because the season’s pretty much over.

The Rams will always stink despite all the draft picks they are receiving over the next two years. Probably will draft two busts with their two possible top ten picks.

By the time Young and Tebow learned the offense the season would be over

    Welcome to St. Louis Brady.
I hope you are the first quarterback to wear #3 that leads to a Super Bowl win.

Tebow needs to take a job in either the CFL or an arena league or something, just to keep playing. That would make the odds of him getting picked up by someone much greater. Right now … too much ring rust to even think about it.

They plan on signing Shane Falco and starting him this weekend.

Bradford is a bust. They should’ve drafted RG3 and traded this bum.
