It seemed like the Panthers and Rams spent most of last Sunday fighting with each other.

The bills came due today.

The league has confirmed to PFT a number of fines from the fracas-filled face-off.

Rams defensive end Chris Long was fined $15,750 for unnecessary roughness. He was flagged and ejected for throwing a punch.

There were at least four other $7,875 fines for cheap shots and taunting during the game.

Rams guard Harvey Dahl was docked for a late hit, and wide receiver Brian Quick for hitting an opponent in the face.

Panthers safety Mike Mitchell got one for taunting as well, and wide receiver Steve Smith paid up for hitting an opponent in the face while blocking.

What wasn’t announced is whether the officiating crew was punished at all for letting a game get so out of control.
