Nick Perry could return more quickly than expected

Nick Perry, Andy Dalton AP

The Packers have been ravaged by injuries this season, but they appear close to be getting one key part back sooner than expected.

According to Wes Hodkiewicz of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, Packers outside linebacker Nick Perry could return this week.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy said he was “hopeful” Perry could play Sunday night against the Vikings, and Perry is listed as questionable.

It was two weeks ago when there were reports that Perry had broken his foot, so he’s either a really fast healer or the word broken means different something different in Green Bay (like the Eskimos with words for snow).

The Packers are likely to be without wide receiver James Jones, who is listed as doubtful with a knee injury.

Sounds like McCarthy likes to lie about injuries just as much as he likes donuts.

The Packers never verified that he had a broken foot…

Kinda like the Vikings calling themselves a “professional football team”?

    Superbowl favorites again!

…Just kidding, Detroit will probably win that division.

Would be huge to get him back to a LB unit that is missing 3 out of 4 starters. AJ Hawk has stepped up a ton, but this would be nice. He will probably sit one more week and then possibly play.

Sounds to me like Packers players are willing to work hard and get back to the field of play, unlike the latest Lavendar Larry faking a concussion in an attempt to stay out of that purple mess.

Perry or no, Ponder turns a corner this week. Vikings 35, Packers 6.

He learned it by watching Leslie Frasier and his quarterback three step. Freeman with a concussion? yeah right. If you buy that, I’ve got a bridge to sell you.

Let’s get this straight … your team is one of the worst in the entire NFL and your sig name, is after the GM who just made up a fake concussion, to wipe the egg off his face, which only created a bigger circus. Meanwhile, McCarthy put the 4th Super Bowl trophy in Green Bay, while Minnehaha still has nothing. Gotta love sore loser Vikings fans, lol.

Why are there so many more injuries in the NFL compared to college?

  14. glac1 says: Oct 25, 2013 2:29 PM

  15. mn1288 says: Oct 25, 2013 2:30 PM

Speaking of McCarthy lieing, it’s hilarious that Dungy said Freeman is faking his injury after seeing that the only thing missing in Minneapolis is a circus tent over Mall of America Field and he can’t get out of town fast enough. At least we’re all on the same page.

  19. filthymcnasty1 says: Oct 25, 2013 2:45 PM

Nick should hold out and give the foot an extra week of rest. We don’t need him for this easy game against the Vikings, and should save him for our HUGE rivalry game against the Bears next week.

My thought process was that some of the Packers special teams players are going to get bumped up to offense, and that the next man up will allow Shariff Floyd to get a good return or two.

Note to Viking fans………Your team sucks, AGAIN. You’re yet to find a quality starting QB and your defense is getting OLD! Yes AP is a beast and any team would love having him, but where’s the supporting cast? Oh yea, didn’t the roof to the stadium collapse recently? How’s that Jennings signing working for ya? I’ve seen high school programs with more promise and future than your team. After all, the head coach is named LESLIE…….I rest my case….

  25. deltaoracle says: Oct 25, 2013 3:33 PM

My memory dou – er – deuce is that the Packers won the last game between the two. That’s when Joe Webb was going to join Peterson in hanging 400 rushing yards on the Pack, right?
See you gotta be more of a weasely lawyer-type and say “the last regular season game.” Same way weasely Mini fans like to say “We won an NFL title!!!… before losing that Super Bowl game.” Got it? Good.

Viking fans never have any ammunition. They’re only recourse is personal insults. Like grade school kids….when you got nothin’ to fight with, you back off….out of sight and anonymous, and throw out “I know you are but what am I” caliber insults. How sad.
