Our own Josh Alper usually does the work of poring through all the injury reports to bring you the most significant injury news of the week in one easy-to-digest post. Unfortunately, this week Alper is on the injury report himself. Alper is probable for Sunday’s games, but in the mean time I’ll take you through this week’s injury news, game by game.
Falcons at Cardinals
Atlanta ruling out receiver Roddy White is big, especially considering that Julio Jones is already out for the season. For the Cardinals, running back Rashard Mendenhall is doubtful with a toe injury.
Bills at Saints
Buffalo quarterback EJ Manuel remains out with a knee injury. Saints safety Roman Harper is out with a knee injury, cornerback Rod Sweeting is out with a hip injury and defensive tackle Tyrunn Walker is out with a knee injury. Saints tight end Jimmy Graham is questionable with a foot injury, while running back Mark Ingram is questionable with a toe injury.
Cowboys at Lions
The big question in Big D is whether defensive end DeMarcus Ware and running back DeMarco Murray can go. Ware is doubtful while Murray is questionable. Also questionable for the Cowboys is receiver Miles Austin. For the Lions, receiver Calvin Johnson and running back Reggie Bush are both on the injury report, but they’ll be fine — both are probable and from all accounts good to go. The big question for the Lions is whether they’ll have enough healthy offensive tackles to go around. Corey Hilliard has been ruled out, while Jason Fox and Riley Reiff are both questionable.
Dolphins at Patriots
Miami has no major injury concerns, as everyone who’s injured is listed as probable. For the Patriots, defensive tackle Tommy Kelly and running back Leon Washington are out and a bunch of players are listed as questionable, including receiver Danny Amendola (concussion, groin), running back Brandon Bolden (knee), tackle Marcus Cannon (shoulder), receiver Julian Edelman (thigh), tight end Michael Hoomanawanui (knee), cornerback Aqib Talib (hip) and safety Tavon Wilson (hamstring).
Giants at Eagles
Philadelphia quarterback Michael Vick is listed as probable and should be good to go. Backup Nick Foles is out with a concussion. The Giants continue to have issues at running back, with David Wilson out because of a neck injury and Brandon Jacobs doubtful because of a hamstring injury.
Jets at Bengals
Santonio Holmes remains out with a hamstring injury, while center Nick Mangold is questionable with a rib injury. Bengals cornerback Leon Hall is out with an Achilles injury, and defensive tackle Devon Still is out with an elbow injury.
Steelers at Raiders
Two Steelers have been ruled out, tight end Richard Gordon and receiver Markus Wheaton, and everyone else on the injury report is listed as probable. For the Raiders, safety Tyvon Branch is out with an ankle injury, while three offensive linemen — Andre Gurode, Tony Pashos and Menelik Watson — are doubtful.
49ers “at” Jaguars
San Francisco receiver Quinton Patton is out with a foot injury, while five 49ers are questionable: Defensive lineman Justin Smith, receiver Jon Baldwin, defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey, defensive tackle Ray McDonald and cornerback Carlos Rogers. If we can say nothing else about the Jaguars, we can say that they’re relatively healthy: receiver Stephen Williams is questionable and everyone else on their injury report is probable.
Redskins at Broncos
Washington has four players listed as questionable: defensive end Stephen Bowen, safety Reed Doughty, receiver Leonard Hankerson and defensive tackle Chris Neild. Denver has ruled cornerback Champ Bailey out, while offensive linemen Orlando Franklin and Chris Kuper are questionable.
Packers at Vikings
For the Packers, tight end Jermichael Finley, linebacker Clay Matthews and tight end Ryan Taylor have all been ruled out, while receiver James Jones is doubtful. Two linebackers, Brad Jones and Nick Perry, are questionable. For the Vikings, quarterback Josh Freeman is out with a concussion, and joining him on the sideline Sunday night will be running back Matt Asiata, tight end Rhett Ellison and receiver Rodney Smith. Two Vikings, defensive tackle Fred Evans and safety Jamarca Sanford, are questionable.
